The Hype

TITLE SEQUENCE

The Hype

My contributions: Produced frames for final title sequence and created an original direction

I designed frames for the title sequence of Max’s reality show “The Hype.” Think Project Runway, but with all of the attitude and diversity of contemporary streetwear. My work was included in the final cut of the title sequence. It cycles rapidly through different textures associated with streetwear, but what remains constant is the show’s logo applied in the center of the frame.

Below, find my original creative direction. Here’s what the writers on my team said about it during our client pitch:

“We may not know the future of streetwear, but we do know that it will come from a diverse range of voices and cultures. It will also reflect a diverse range of styles and moods. This direction uses the letters of THE HYPE to represent self expression. The loud and the quiet. The simple and the ornate and everything in between.”
